😊 Kindness Ring

Terms of Service

Last updated 29 September 2026 · https://kindness.mckee.family/terms

Agreement

These Terms of Service are the rules for using Kindness Ring on the website (https://kindness.mckee.family) and on iPhone. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

A grown-up should read this for a family account.

What Kindness Ring is

Kindness Ring helps people notice kindness. You can log your own kind acts, receive anonymous points from friends, fill a ring, and collect badges.

Points, rings, and badges are for fun inside the app. They are not money, not a prize you can cash in, and not a payment system.

Accounts

You need a username, a grown-up email, and a password (at least 6 characters). Keep the password private.

You are responsible for activity on the account. Tell a grown-up if you think someone else is using it. You can change the password in Profile.

Families and age

The app is for families. A grown-up should create and look after the account. Children should use it with permission from a parent or guardian.

Do not pretend to be someone else. Do not put another person’s email on an account you do not look after.

Kindness is structured and anonymous

There is no chat and no free-text messages between users. You pick a reason (a badge) and, when giving kindness, an amount of points.

When you send points, the other person does not see your name. Do not try to use the app to bully, shame, or pressure anyone.

Acceptable use

Please:

Friends and QR codes

Adding a friend is one-way on your list. Your receive QR lets someone send you points. Rotate the code in the app if you no longer want an old code to work.

We are not responsible for how people treat each other outside the app.

Our service

We provide the app as-is. It may change, pause, or have downtime. We do not promise that points, badges, or challenges will always stay the same.

The website, API, and app artwork belong to the operator. You may not copy the service to run your own competing app from our code without permission.

Ending use

You can delete the account in Profile. Confirm, and it is removed. That removes the ring, friends, badges, kindness events, and help requests.

We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms or harms others.

Privacy

How we handle information is explained in the Privacy Policy at https://kindness.mckee.family/privacy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. The current version always lives at https://kindness.mckee.family/terms.
